Tribute paid to Reading couple

The children of a Reading couple killed in a crash on Tilehurst Road have paid tribute to their parents.

54-year-old Duncan Storrar and his 49-year-old wife Annelise died when a Ford Mondeo, which had jumped a red light and was being chased by police, hit their car at around 11pm last Wednesday night.

The couple's children 23-year-old David, 22-year-old Kathryn, and 18-year-old Ross have described their mum and dad as the most caring, likeable individuals, who touched many lives.

They said "They were always there for us, they always put our well-being over their own, and we feel privileged to have had the unconditional support of the two most important people in our lives.

"Nothing can replace the love they had for us. The only comforting thought that remains is that they are still together and will forever be in our hearts."

A 31-year-old man's been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and has been detained under the mental health act.

Police are still keen to speak to two men who crossed Coley Avenue, at the junction with Castle Hill, around the time of the collision.

They also want to talk to a man who walked passed the crash scene just after it happened.
