Drivers in Reading could be in for a summer of misery.
Roadworks are being carried out on 13 of the town's roads including the IDR.
£600,000 is being spent on resurfacing.
The work, which gets underway on Thursday, will take six weeks to complete.
The roads affected are:
Town centre: Broad Street, St Mary's Butts, the IDR service road adjacent to The Hexagon
Tilehurst: the junction of Bath Road and Honey End Lane, Mayfair, Pierce's Hill, Norcot Road and Oak Tree Road
Whitley: Surrey Road, Lincoln Road, Winchester Road, Blanford Road and Hartland Road
Caversham: George Street
Caversham Park Village: the junction of Henley Road and Caversham Park Road
