Along with all other commercial radio stations in the UK, Reading 107fm has to fulfill certain criteria, set by the regulator Ofcom, with respect to the amount of music we play, our speech output, and local content. This is called the 'Format', and the Public File is our way of helping you understand how we meet these requirements.
A hard copy of the Public File is also available on request in writing. Any comments on the file can be made to us or Ofcom.

Automation & Local Programming
We're very proud of the fact that all our programmes are presented and produced from our studios at the Madejski Stadium - unless, of course, we're out and about broadcasting from an event in the area. Occasionally, it is necessary to pre-record some programmes at Reading 107 - though it's unlikely you'll notice this happen. All our daytime programmes are overseen by a presenter or producer, while some of our off-peak shows are automated. While 'Reading 107's Greatest Hits' doesn't have a presenter, we still provide the latest travel news at 2:40pm.
Events & Charities we support
Reading 107 supports a number of charities by offering them publicity and promotion on-air and online. In 2007 we conducted a large campaign with Macmillan Cancer Support through a 'Bring A Pound To Work Day', and in the run-up to Easter 2008 Reading 107 supported the Thames Vale Vultures' Berkshire Egg Run by being a collection point for donated Easter Eggs to go to terminally ill children and/or in care. Generous listeners donated a massive 1,280 eggs in total!
Coverage Highlights
As the official station of Reading Football Club, we cover all of the Royals' matches, with commentary on matchday and match preview shows during the season at 6:15pm on Fridays. We also provide live updates from selected London Irish games.
