Want to work with us?

Reading 107 offers short-term work experience placements to students on Journalism degree courses.

Due to the high volume of applications, we are unable to offer placements to anyone who isn't at University. If this is you and you are keen to work in the media, try contacting your local hospital or community radio station. (Many journos have started off this way, including our very own Head of News Mel Bloor).

The placements usually last for one or two weeks and during your time with us, you will be given the opportunity to go out on stories and carry out interviews, write scripts and edit audio to be included in news bulletins. Don't think for one minute, you will just be watching us do all the work!

We would prefer budding journalists to have some knowledge of our patch but don't worry if you don't, we'll give you a map and point you in the right direction. You must have a clean driving license and it would be helpful if you have your own car, if not we have pool cars you can use.

So if you think you are up to the challenge, email your cv and a bit about yourself to: mel.bloor@reading107fm.com

Good luck!
